Industrial Resources, Inc. (IR) is seeking an experienced structural engineer to join our growing team. IR is a turnkey design-build contractor specializing in custom bulk material handling systems. IR has in house design, detail, fabrication, and construction capabilities complimented by West Virginia Electric, Inc., a full-service electrical design-build sister company. IR and WVE are wholly owned subsidiary companies of Victory of WV and have been in business for over 70 years. This position can work from our offices in Carnegie, PA and/or Fairmont, WV.
Requirements:
- BS Civil Engineering
- Professionally licensed PE with focus in structural steel design
- 7 years experience minimum
- Proficient in the structural analysis software STAAD (steel design)
- Knowledgeable in steel design including connections
- Basic understanding of AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Good experience/qualities to have:
- SE license or willingness to obtain
- Background in industrial construction or bulk material handling systems
- Experience in foundation design
- Ability to estimate structural steel and associated components to help bid projects
- Understanding of MSHA/OSHA rules and regulations
- Experience performing on-site structural inspections, evaluations, and report preparation
