West Virgina Electric has introduced a LED replacement bulb that will fit in typical Industrial high-pressure sodium or metal-halide light fixtures with limited modification to the fixture at a very low cost.

The advantages of the LED replacement bulb include:

  • Power consumption of approximately one-fifth that used by high-pressure sodium or metal-halide fixtures.
  • Extended life of the bulb to 50,000 hours
  • The LED bulb is connected directly to the 120 volt through 277 volts directly to the base, bypassing the existing ballast and eliminating future ballast maintenance or replacement.
  • No UV
  • Very little heat
  • Will not attract bugs.
