Industrial Resources will celebrate our 70-year anniversary Sunday, Nov. 27.
We have been providing state-of-the-art bulk material handling systems and coal preparation plants for our customers since 1946. We are a turnkey contractor that:

“As president of Industrial Resources, celebrating 70 years in business is a true example of the quality of people we have had within our organization over the years to achieve such a significant milestone,” said Phil Burnside, Industrial president. “Each and every one of our employees has contributed to the success of our business over the years during good times and bad.”
To Celebrate Our Anniversary…
Burnside and CEO Wayne Stanley (right) invited customers, vendors and employees past and present to an afternoon barbecue celebration outside of our Fairmont office Friday, Oct. 28.
Tents were set up overlooking the Westfork River with music from a steel drummer.
Burnside and Kip Captor, Industrial’s manager of purchasing (left), personally grilled rotisserie chicken and baby back ribs in preparation of the celebration. Both current and former employees were recognized during our celebration.
We Have Successfully…
- Completed more than 5,000 projects over the past 70 years
- Been certified as an American Institute of Steel Construction fabrication facility
All of our projects are fabricated within the guidelines and procedures of the AISC requirements.
“This certification puts our fabrication shop a step above all other fabrication facilities that have not achieved this level of recognition,” Burnside said.
“With the current EPA regulations on coal and the recent downturn within the coal industry, Industrial has explored and opened new doors within the aggregate and cement businesses,” Burnside said. “However, we are always available to provide our services for any coal related customers regardless of the market conditions, and we are available when needed.”
