Efficiency is Key: How the Anglemaster Speeds Up the Steel Fabrication Process

Industrial Resources recently added a piece of machinery to our 37,440-square-foot steel fabrication facility that adds increased efficiency to the steel fabrication process. The Peddinghaus Anglemaster-643 was introduced to the team, and after thorough training, we can use the anglemaster to its full potential. The “Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act” that was approved last year is going to be providing unprecedented funding for construction projects across the country. This legislation includes approximately $550 billion in new federal investments for rebuilding America’s roads, bridges, water infrastructure, and more. Approximately $110 billion is specifically designated for repairing and rebuilding roads and bridges.

Phil joined the company in June 2008 as Vice-President, and has served as President since June 2016. Phil holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Fairmont State University and an MS degree in Safety Studies from West Virginia University. We wish Phil and his growing family God’s blessings in retirement. Hay Makes Waves at US Olympic Swim Trials

Abby Hay, daughter of Industrial Resources Senior Project Manager, Tom Hay, recently competed at the U.S. Olympic Swim Trials at the CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska. The atmosphere in the CHI Health Center was electric! There were light shows and hype music in the arena that made it seem like the NBA finals.

West Virginia Coal Preparation Plant Expansion

To remain competitive in today’s global marketplace, the coal industry must invest its capital effectively to constantly improve operational efficiencies. In 2019 Industrial Resources designed and built an addition for a West Virginia coal preparation plant to increase its raw feed capacity from less than 900 tons per hour (tph) to more than 1,200 tph, a 35% to 40% increase.

Industrial Resources is a design-build contractor that has successfully designed and constructed many processing plants and material handling systems for various industries for more than 75 years. The storyline for this upgrade is how the design-build contracting approach assured a successful project that achieved both objectives: the effective use of capital and improved efficiency.
