Peddinghaus Corporation Drill Line
INDUSTRIAL RESOURCES, INC. has added “State of the Art Computerized Equipment” to their fabrication facility in Fairmont, West Virginia. A Peddinghaus, DG 1100 Double Miter Band Saw and a Peddinghaus PCD-1100/3B “ADVANTAGE” Multi-Spindle Drill Line Machine have been installed to provide greater Employee Safety and increase production. The DG 1100 Band Saw is a full miter saw capable of pivoting 60 degrees right and left for unmatched versatility with speed sawing technology that includes a 3 degree blade attack angle with more teeth engaged during the sawing process to increase efficiency. This machine has the capacity to cut beams 44” X 20” at a 90 degree cutting range with speeds unmatched by other competitors. A Peddi-cool vegetable oil based tool lube is utilized by this machine to expedite sawing and eliminate costly and tedious maintenance associated with water based coolants. This machine works perfectly in tandem with the Peddinghaus PCD-1100/3B “ADVANTAGE” Multi-Spindle Drill machine. The PCD-1100/3B Drill Machine eliminates the inefficient “drilling of air” commonly associated with competitive drill lines by utilizing Smart Spindle technology. This machine instantaneously senses material breaththrough – notifying the machine of the moment a hole is completed and immediately advances to the next hole in a pattern. The PCD-1100/3B machine tackles large projects with confidence using the multi-spindle drilling operations allowing simultaneous processing of multiple surfaces. This process increases through-put and tonnage capabilities and can handle up to a 44”x 18” beam size, drilling holes to 1-9/16” in diameter. A SignoScript carbide piece marking process is used to inscribe every piece of steel that comes through the machine for identification and tracking purposes.
These machines offer rollerfeed material measurement with unparalleled accuracy while providing versatility for material handling options. The Drill Line Machine is controlled by the powerful Siemens 840Di and is a true CNC control that utilizes a familiar PC interface for simple operation.
